Good to know: Your path into the saddle
Safety & Guidance
Your safety is our top priority. All tours are accompanied by experienced guides who know the paths of the Asterousia like the back of their hand. We ride in small, personal groups with a maximum of four people. Certified riding helmets are, of course, provided free of charge.
Your Riding Level
From relaxed taster rides for beginners to demanding expeditions for experienced riders, we adapt the tours to your skills. For our day and weekly programs, you should be secure in the saddle in all three gaits and have a good basic level of fitness for the mountainous terrain.
The Right Equipment
We recommend comfortable long trousers and sturdy footwear (boots or light hiking shoes). Since we often pass wild beehives for our famous Cretan honey in the untouched nature, please bring your allergy medication if necessary. Also, remember sun protection, a windbreaker, and plenty of water for the ride.
Important Note on Insurance: Participation in our riding programs is at your own risk. Please ensure that you have valid accident and international health insurance that explicitly covers outdoor horse riding. We also strongly recommend obtaining travel cancellation insurance.

Small escapes from everyday life. Enjoy 2–3 hours in the saddle and discover the surroundings of our farm on sure-footed paths – ideal for a quick craving for freedom and perfect as a side trip.
Day Trips
A whole day in harmony with Cretan nature. We ride to remote viewpoints in the Asterousia and enjoy a traditional picnic under the open sky, far away from any tourism.
