Take the time to experience the raw beauty of Crete in its most intense form. Our day tours take you deep into the heart of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, far away from paved roads. Together with our sure-footed horses, we climb majestic peaks or traverse wild gorges until we reach untouched beaches and the vast Mediterranean Sea. A day full of freedom, silence, and genuine Cretan hospitality.

A Full Day of Nature
We start in the morning and return in the evening. The exact start time depends on the chosen route and the weather. The day is characterized by a mix of riding and walking sections, complemented by many breaks to enjoy the silence of the mountains.
For Experienced Riders Only
These tours are exclusively for experienced riders who are absolutely secure in the saddle in all gaits. Good physical fitness is a requirement, as we also travel on foot in steep terrain. We plan the route individually based on your level of experience.
Enjoyment & Planning
The price includes a traditional picnic or lunch in a tavern. We are happy to provide prices upon request. Since we plan very flexibly: Simply give us a call to discuss the details and your preferred date personally!
Important Note on Insurance: Riding is at your own risk. A valid accident and international health insurance that explicitly covers riding accidents is mandatory for participation in all tours.
Peak Performers: The Kofinas Expedition
This ride takes us to the “Roof of the Asterousia.” Over approximately 25 kilometers, we follow well-maintained gravel roads that wind steadily uphill, offering spectacular, grandiose views over the entire south coast. As the route is steep, good physical fitness and safety in all gaits are required. A special highlight: we let the horses rest at a safe spot and climb the final meters to the summit of Kofinas on foot. You will be rewarded with a 360-degree view over all of Crete and a hearty lunch.
Gorge Ride & Sea Breeze: Tripiti
From the mountains down to the water: This approximately 30-kilometer tour leads us through the imposing Tripiti Gorge with its steep rock walls directly to the beach. Along the way, there are sections where we lead the horses and walk to relieve them in steep terrain. During the lunch break, a very special experience awaits: we visit the tavern on the beach and are warmly welcomed by Maria with local specialties. Those who wish can use the break for a swim in the Mediterranean. The best comes last: we start the return journey in the light of the sunset, when the Asterousia Mountains glow in magical colors.
